Death Run Road , a barren one hundred mile stretch which twists and turns through the unforgiving heat of Death Valley , is cursed. The dead walk this road. For those that die on Death Run are forever damned to walk in its punishing heat, with their souls condemned within their decaying bodies. If the soul was evil in life, it is even more evil once confined within the bounds of the cursed Death Run Road.

On a trek for a weekend of fun in Las Vegas , two male college students pick up a young, female hitch-hiker, a Native American Indian, and learn of the curse. Wanting to dispel the myth, and have fun in the process, they descend upon Death Run Road.

To their horror the curse is real, and now also changing. The curse has started to spread beyond the start of Death Run Road, back to where they were first unknowingly ticketed by a dead policeman. As they continue into the realms of the curse, and finally descend upon Death Run Road, they realize the shortest way out is going forward, through the origins of the curse, and that they must battle their way out.

Driving at a high speed in a desperate attempt to reach the end of Death Run Road, a point beyond which the dead and bigoted policemen from a past, that rule and terrorize Death Run, can no longer follow, they are subjected to gunfire, blockades, and being rammed at high speeds. With safety just a short distance ahead, one final attack claims the life of a dear friend and their escape is overshadowed with grief and remorse.

Having a choice to go forward, and leave the horror behind them, the remaining college student and the American Indian girl return to Death Run to avenge the death of their friend. Their goal is to somehow break the curse, destroy the policemen, and free their friend's soul, or to die trying.
