After months of deliberations, research, and planning to launch an Ochavo Studios independent DVD label, for wholesale and retail distribution for the Latin-American market within the USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica, Ochavo Studios has opted to remain a full-service production company.

"This is what we do best. We produce quality, low-budget movies for buyers and distributors worldwide." stated Gaspar Hernandez III, founder and producer.

During the past 18 months, after completing the feature film "Inner Rage" and participating at the Cannes 2006 Marché du Film, Ochavo Studios ventured into the domestic and international distribution market to test these waters. Although Ochavo Studios had some success, Ochavo Studios was also approached during this period by several international distributors and cable companies seeking to establish a relationship with production companies that can supply quality, low-budget feature films for the home entertainment market and Pay-TV.

"We looked heavily into entering the DVD home entertainment Latin-American distribution market. However, due to existing large retailers' relationships with major distributors and studios we decided to return to and remain with what we do best, Make Movies." said Gaspar Hernandez III. "We also discovered that for many low budget filmmakers, who submit their completed films to us, providing complete Chain-Of-Title has been a monumental task. At Ochavo Studios this is something we cover thoroughly on all of our productions using our own legal department, ensuring complete Chain-Of-Title."

This is just the beginning. Ochavo Studios will be producing quality, low-budget feature films for the home entertainment market and Pay-TV for distributors and cable companies seeking to establish relationships with production companies, co-production, or content to fill programming times for their subscribers. Ochavo Studios will still be attending major film markets such as AFM (Santa Monica), BFM (Bangkok), the Marché du Film (Cannes), and EFM (Berlin), but solely as a production company.

"We will still sell directly to buyers, of course, as we have been doing so in the past. However, we will only be selling titles produced by Ochavo Studios."
